Repertoire

It is quite obvious that a pre-school kid won't learn the same way as an adult. This is why I use different methods for each of you, regarding your age and background.

I like to include songs or works of your own choice in my teaching. For beginners, i like to work with existing methods like :

Suzuki, Cello School

Suzan Hirzel, Violoncello-Schule

Feuillard, L'apprenti violoncelliste

Cello time for Joggers

Cello time for Runners

Cello time for Sprinters

and others  ;-)

For more advanced cellists, I am completely fond on any piece from the largest repertoire for cellists.

Bach, Haydn, Dvorak, Elgar, Schumann, Ligeti, Chostakovitch, Prokofiev, Ysaye, Lutoslawski, Brahms, Mendelssohn, ...

To get there, I like to use methods and exercices from our fathers, respectable cellists as:

Duport, Popper, Piatti, Servais, Cossmann, Tortelier, Feuillard, Gendron, ...
